This policy explains what personal information we collect when you use this site or buy the course, why we collect it, and what rights you have over it.

1. What we collect
When you join the waitlist or subscribe: your name and email address.

When you buy: your name, email address, billing address, country, the plan you chose, and your purchase history.

When you use the course: login activity, lessons viewed, progress, and anything you post in the community.

When you contact us: the content of your message.

Automatically: IP address, approximate location, browser and device type, pages visited, and how you arrived here.

We never see or store your full card number. Card details go directly to our payment providers.

2. Why we use it

• To give you access to the course you bought and to run the community
• To answer your questions, provide support, and handle refunds
• To send you emails about your purchase, access, and any changes to the course
• To send you marketing emails, where you have asked to receive them
• To detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and chargebacks
• To measure and improve our website and our advertising
• To meet our legal, tax and accounting obligations
Where we rely on your consent — marketing emails and non-essential cookies — you can withdraw
it at any time, and withdrawing it will not affect anything we did before you withdrew it.

3. Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal information. We share it with providers who help us operate this business:

• our course and website platform, for hosting, checkout, and course delivery
• our payment providers, for processing payments and preventing fraud
• our email provider, for sending transactional and marketing email
• advertising platforms, for measuring campaign performance — shared in hashed or aggregated form

• analytics providers, for understanding how the site is used
• our accountants and professional advisers, where required

We share aggregate enrolment and progress information with Michael Artis so he can teach and support the course. He does not receive your payment details.

We may also disclose information where the law requires it, or in connection with a sale or
restructuring of the business.

4. Where your information goes
We are based in India. Our providers operate in other countries, including the United States and the European Union, so your information is transferred internationally.

Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards for these transfers, including standard contractual clauses and provider commitments to equivalent protection.

5. Cookies and advertising
We use cookies and similar technologies to run the site, keep you logged in, and measure how our advertising performs. This includes advertising pixels that let us measure results and show relevant ads to people like you.

You can control cookies in your browser settings. Blocking essential cookies will stop checkout and login from working.

6. How long we keep it
• Purchase and tax records: eight years, as required by law
• Course access and progress: for as long as you have access, plus twelve months
• Marketing contacts: until you unsubscribe, after which we keep your email on a suppression list so we do not contact you again
• Support messages: three years

7. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
• get a copy of the personal information we hold about you
• have inaccurate information corrected
• have your information deleted
• object to or restrict how we use it
• have it transferred to another provider
• withdraw consent for marketing at any time
• opt out of your information being shared for targeted advertising
• nominate someone to exercise these rights on your behalf if you die or become incapacitated

Email [email protected] to exercise any of these. We respond within 30 days. You will never be treated differently for exercising a right.

If you are in the EU or UK and you are unhappy with our response, you may complain to your local data protection authority. If you are in India, you may complain to the Data Protection Board of India.

8. Marketing emails
Every marketing email has an unsubscribe link at the bottom. Unsubscribing stops marketing email.

It does not stop essential emails about a course you have bought — access details, billing, and material changes.

9. Children
This course is sold to adults. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13, and users between 13 and 18 must have a parent or guardian's consent. If you believe a child has given us information, email [email protected] and we will delete it.

10. Security
We protect your information with encrypted connections, access controls, and providers who maintain recognised security standards.

No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. 

If a breach occurs that is likely to affect you, we will notify you and the relevant authority as the law requires.

11. Changes
We may update this policy. The current version is always the one published here, with its effective date at the top. Material changes will be emailed to active customers.

12. Who we are Faces by Michael is a brand operated by Skillfloe LLP, a limited liability partnership registered in India.

Skillfloe LLP decides how and why your personal information is used — in Indian law, the Data Fiduciary; in European and UK law, the Data Controller.
