Faces by Michael is a brand operated by Skillfloe LLP. These terms govern your purchase and use of the course. Please read them before you buy.

1. What you are buying
How Anyone Can Become a Portrait Artist is a self-paced digital course delivered online. It includes pre-recorded video lessons, written materials, practice exercises, a downloadable guide, access to the student community, a certificate on completion, and any bonus material described on the sales page at the time of purchase.

You are buying a personal, non-transferable licence to access and use this material. You are not buying ownership of it.

2. Price and payment
The price and available payment options are shown on the sales page and at checkout at the time you buy. Prices are charged in the currency displayed at checkout.

Payment is processed by our payment providers. We never receive or store your full card details.

If you choose a payment plan, you authorise us to charge the remaining instalments on the agreed schedule until the full amount is paid. If an instalment fails, we will retry it and contact you. Access may be paused while an instalment remains unpaid.

Your card or bank statement will show the charge as SKILLFLOE. Please note this so you recognise it later — it is the registered name of the company that operates this brand.

Taxes, where they apply in your country, are your responsibility unless shown at checkout.

3. Access and delivery
Access is granted immediately once payment succeeds. Login details are emailed to the address you enter at checkout, so please enter it correctly and check your spam folder if nothing arrives within an hour.

The course is sold with lifetime access — meaning for as long as we continue to operate it, and in any event no less than three years from your purchase. If we ever discontinue it, we will give you at least 90 days' notice and the opportunity to download the materials.

4. Refunds — 14-day money-back guarantee
You may request a full refund within 14 days of purchase, for any reason, by emailing
[email protected] from the address you used at checkout.

You do not need to justify the request. We do not require you to have completed any part of the course.

Approved refunds are returned to the original payment method within 10 business days. Your access to the course and community ends when the refund is issued.

After 14 days, purchases are final. This does not affect any rights you have that cannot be excluded under the consumer law of your country of residence.

5. Cancelling a payment plan
If you cancel within the 14-day window, every instalment already paid is refunded and no further instalments are taken.

After 14 days, you may cancel future instalments by emailing us, but instalments already paid are not refundable and your access ends on cancellation. You may not keep access while stopping payment.

6. Problems, disputes and chargebacks
If something is wrong with your purchase, email [email protected]. We reply within two business days and will fix any legitimate problem.

Please contact us before raising a dispute with your bank. Remember that the charge appears as SKILLFLOE — an unfamiliar name on a statement is the most common reason people file disputes by mistake.

Where a chargeback is filed on a purchase that has been accessed and falls outside the refund window, we will contest it with evidence of delivery, and access may be suspended while it is resolved.

7. Intellectual property and what you may do with the material 

All course content — videos, artwork, written material, downloadable files, and the Faces by Michael brand — is owned by Michael Artis or Skillfloe LLP and is protected by copyright.

You may: use the material for your own learning, and create, exhibit and sell original artwork you make using the techniques taught. Anything you make is yours.

You may not: copy, download for redistribution, share, resell, publish, stream, or otherwise make the course materials available to anyone else, in whole or in part. You may not share your login. You may not use the materials to build or teach a competing course, paid or free. You may not reproduce
Michael Artis's portraits as your own work. 

We may suspend or end access without refund if this section is breached.

8. The student community

Access to the community is part of your purchase. We ask that you keep it useful: no harassment, no spam, no promotion of unrelated products, no sharing of course material outside it.

We may remove anyone who repeatedly breaches this. Removal from the community does not remove your access to the course lessons and is not grounds for a refund.

9. No guarantee of results
This course teaches skills and techniques. What you achieve depends on your own practice, effort and circumstances.

Nothing on this site, in the course, in our emails or in our advertising is a promise of any particular artistic, professional, commercial or financial outcome.

10. Availability
We aim to keep the course available at all times but cannot guarantee uninterrupted access. Access may be briefly unavailable for maintenance or because of events outside our control.

11. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability arising out of or connected with your
purchase is limited to the amount you paid for it.

We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including lost profit or lost opportunity.
Nothing here excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including liability for fraud.

12. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to buy. If you are between 13 and 18, you may use the course only with the consent and under the supervision of a parent or guardian who accepts these terms on your behalf.

13. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The version that applies to you is the one published when you bought.

We will email active customers about any material change.

14. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India. The courts of Mumbai, Maharashtra have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute.

15. Who you are buying from

Faces by Michael is a brand operated by Skillfloe LLP, a limited liability partnership registered in India.

Skillfloe LLP is the seller and merchant of record for every purchase made on this site. When you buy, your contract is with Skillfloe LLP.

Skillfloe LLP produces and sells this course in partnership with Michael Artis, who provides the teaching content and appears as the instructor. Michael Artis is not the seller and does not process your payment.

We acknowledge complaints within 48 hours and resolve them within one month of receipt.
